How The Idea Of Telephonevox.Com Was Born

Many customers compliment us on our original business idea.

In fact, TelephoneVox perfectly represents the kind of companies that ride the niche business, i.e. those very specific sectors that are often neglected due to ‘limited’ turnover. But how did the idea of creating a site to order audio messages for telephone use come about?

It was started by its founder Carlo Flora, a well-known Italian radio speaker and advertising dubbing artist who, in the year 2001, had the idea of experimenting with the market after hearing for the umpteenth time an answering machine message recorded with the slurred, dialectal voice of an unsuitable secretary. Carlo thought: “why not exploit my voice and that of other advertising dubbers for use in answering machine and switchboard messages?”. So he registered the domain www.segreterie.it

The site immediately allowed the possibility of listening to the backing tracks and the voices of available speakers so that the user could conveniently order his customized message online.

This business was just a side dish to the founder’s main business; but after a couple of years, the service found interest, so it was decided to buy a better domain: www.segreterietelefoniche.it Unfortunately, the domain was in the hands of a London speculator who charged a lot for the transfer. Thus, the site was transferred to the new domain. The logo was this:

From there to 2013 were 10 years of improvements and growth, so much so that in 2013 the founder decided to set up a dedicated limited company, which would also be useful for managing the internationalization project. Telephone Vox s.r.l. was born and the domain www.TelephoneVox.com was registered.

The business was then definitively rebranded with a name more suited to internationalization.

The future is bright and full of development projects. From a hobby tied to a niche market ..to a company that generates turnover and work. Thank you all for your cooperation in the growth of TelephoneVox!
